PERFORMANCE AND GENERAL INFORMATION

Erica Malone as Henrietta Leavitt in Silent Sky by Lauren Gunderson. Directed by Jenny Ballard

How long are the performances?

Performance run times vary. You may call the Box Office at (225) 924-6496 beginning the Monday prior to Opening Night to inquire as to the running time. This information is also posted in locations throughout the lobby when you arrive for a performance.

What should I wear to the performance?

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Some audience members come to the theater in more dressy attire, others arrive in more casual shirts and slacks. Either is fine.

Can I take a tour of the theatre?

The theatre is closed to the public when there is not a performance scheduled; however, backstage tours can be arranged in advance by contacting the Box Office at (225) 924-6496.

Provisions for Patrons with Special Needs

TBR is a barrier-free building. All restrooms are handicapped accessible with a dedicated stall in each. Wheelchair seating must be requested at time of ticket order. Accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis to those displaying official state license plates or placards. One American Sign Language interpreted performance is scheduled for each Capital Series production. Please call the Box Office for details and performance dates. Information on Special Access Programs and Schedule is available.

Cell Phones, Pagers and Emergency Phone Number

Please leave your beeper or cellular phone and seat location with the Box Office. TBR's emergency-only telephone number is (225) 924-6496.

Children at Theatre Baton Rouge

Many of TBR’s productions are family friendly, and children are welcome to attend age appropriate events. Each child must have their own ticket to be admitted. Babies and children who are too young to occupy a theater seat (babies in arms) cannot be admitted into the auditorium.

Late Seating

In order not to disturb other patrons or the performers, a late seating time is set for each performance. This time will vary depending on the nature of the program and is made at the discretion of the theatre management. We appreciate your patience with this policy and recommend that you arrive at the theatre at least 15 minutes prior to curtain.

Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are available in amounts based on equivalent ticket value and can be redeemed for all regular TBR productions. To order, call the Box Office at (225) 924-6496.

Theatre Concessions

For the enjoyment and convenience of our patrons, TBR’s Main Stage productions and events offer light beverages, wine and spirits. The bar, centrally located in the main lobby, opens 1 hour prior to the performance and during intermission.
