Pay As You Go
Make your gift in installments and receive the benefits of the full amount of your gift immediately. By mail or over the phone, simply indicate the total amount of your pledge, the number of installments, the increment amount and the frequency of the installments you would like to make.
Corporate Matching Gift
If the company that employs you or your spouse has a Matching Gift Program, you can receive the benefits for the amount of your gift plus the match your company makes. Simply complete the form supplied by your HR department and send it to TBR along with your gift. Contact your company's HR department for information about Matching Gift Programs.

Reasons to Give
- The fantastic donor benefits! Be listed in our programs, enjoy tickets to productions, see a show before anyone else, attend an exclusive Donor end-of-season reception… These are some of the exciting benefits of contributing.
- Help keep our lights on! Though many of our performances sell out, ticket sales only cover approximately 60% of our expenses. You may buy a ticket for $25, but the true cost of bringing the show to you is $43. Contributions make up the other $18.
- Back a winner! Help us foster the next theatre star. Nearly every theatre professional got her or his start in a community theatre, and TBR has nurtured its share of local talent – Ana Maria Andricain (seen in TBR’s 2008 production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) boasts credits including Broadway productions of Les Mis, Beauty and the Beast, and South Pacific. Local celebrity Jamie Wax also got his start as a teenager on our stage.
- Choose Education! Your gift will support area children who take part in our Education programs through performances, classes and workshops. A gift as small as $40 can subsidize tickets for two students to come attend a performance.
- Make history! For more than 75 years, TBR has produced some of the most spectacular shows seen in Baton Rouge. Help us make the next 75+ years just as memorable!

The Friends of Theatre Baton Rouge are a select group of Donors who have made a commitment to the Arts in our community with a single-year or multi-year pledge of $10,000 to Theatre Baton Rouge.

Planned Giving
As critical as annual cash gifts are to TBR, bequests, deferred gifts and other tax planning approaches – or Planned Gifts – represent a unique and mutually beneficial way of giving. Planned Gifts are a satisfying way to support TBR and at the same time plan for your own financial security and that of your family.
Your legacy gift will help Theatre Baton Rouge maintain the programs you have supported and cared about during your lifetime and ensures the continuation of a strong theater arts center for the whole community.
If you so choose, your gift will be added to TBR’s Endowment Fund as permanent capital for the theatre, with only the interest that accrues from the principal used to fund our programs.
Annual Fund
Did you know that tickets sales pay for only 70% of production costs? In our commitment to provide affordable quality live theatre to our community, TBR needs your help to bridge the 30% gap in order to bring a wide variety of exciting productions by the community, for the community. It's your generosity that keeps the performing arts accessible and affordable for everyone.
Honorariums
To celebrate a special someone or a special occasion, you can make a tax-deductible gift in their honor. We will send a notification to them of your contribution.
Memorials
In sympathy or memory, make a donation to remember a loved one. We will send a notification to the family of your remembrance.
Legacy Gifts
Leaving an endowment gift to TBR as part of your will or estate plan helps to ensure TBR's future and entitles you to membership in the TBR Heritage Society. Call the Box Office for more information about Legacy Gift opportunities.
Stock Gifts
In addition to a charitable gift tax donation, a gift of stock offers the extra benefit of avoiding capital gains tax on the stock's appreciation.
Support The Jack Lampert Young Actors Endowment Fund
Donations for the Jack Lampert Young Actors’ Endowment Fund will be used to create an endowment for our Education Department to provide scholarships for the Young Actors Program (YAP).
The program offers theatre education and performance opportunities through classes, musicals, and plays.
This endowment will allow outreach to the youth who may not otherwise have the financial means to participate in YAP programs and allow them to pursue their interests and gifts in theatre.
Participants will be selected for scholarships based upon financial need after submission of an application and essay.
